San Francisco, CAPosted Dec 2021 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

The interviewers were polite, and the questions themselves were clear.

They didn’t require any specific niche knowledge, and throughout the session I had a chance to discuss solutions, alternatives, edge cases, and other relevant considerations.

But despite that, it ended up feeling like there was something else they were really looking for—culture fit or a background match with the interviewers—because the direction never made complete sense to me. It was hard to tell what criteria were driving the decision. The round felt like it dragged on and, ultimately, it turned into a waste of everyone’s time.
