My interview included a casual conversation plus an at-home coding change, followed by a follow-up interview.

The process dragged on long enough that I lost interest, mainly because I already had an excellent offer from another company and had started interviewing with them after Plaid.

The code assessment itself was exceptionally easy, to the point that it felt like a waste of time for how little challenge it presented. I didn’t end up getting an offer from Plaid, but the real story for me was that the timeline didn’t match my urgency anymore.
