After a recruiter screen that went well, I was told to expect an email to schedule the first technical round.

I was genuinely looking forward to that next step because the recruiter interaction had been positive and made it feel like I was moving forward.

Instead, I received a rejection email a few days later. There wasn’t any technical interview scheduled, and I never got the chance to do the coding round I was expecting.

It was hard to make sense of the sudden turn—especially after being told what was coming next. Looking back, the biggest thing that stayed with me was how quickly the process ended without any technical evaluation, leaving me with more questions than closure.
