Plaid Software Engineer interview experience

The phone screen was an open-ended conversation where we talked through my background, what I was interested in, and what the current structure at Plaid was like.

After that, I received a take-home assignment with a timeline of about five business days. The exercise was intended to take roughly a couple of hours, so it felt manageable rather than an open-ended project.

I didn’t end up receiving an offer. What I remember most was how clearly scoped the take-home seemed compared to the ambiguity that can happen in early stages, but the rest of the loop didn’t end in an offer for me.
