New York, NYPosted Nov 2023 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I went through a quick Account Executive process with a recruiter screen followed by manager interviews, and it was moderately challenging with some interpersonal friction.

Recruiter screening — 30 minutes on my career background, salary expectations, and what I knew about PitchBook; I was also asked about VC vs. PE and heard that mentorship/upward mobility was emphasized.
Hiring manager interview (NY sales team) — behavior-based questions plus a 15-minute mock cold call where I sold a product of my choice using problem-centric selling. Outcome: I didn’t move forward; the recruiter was upbeat, but the sales managers’ demeanor made the session feel rushed.
