A recruiter call kicked off my Pinterest process, and it was supposed to set expectations for what came next.

The call itself lasted about 15 minutes and focused on walking me through the timeline.

After the call, they told me they’d respond within 24 to 48 hours, but I never heard back even after I followed up by email. What bothered me most was that the silence felt unprofessional, because a simple rejection email would have been enough.

No offer came out of it, and the main reflection I’m left with is that the communication gap was the part that lingered longest, even more than the technical work I did earlier.
