I applied on the site and a few days later I received a coding assessment.

It felt fairly smooth in the sense that the flow and setup weren’t confusing, but I didn’t end up performing well on it.

The time to finish was short relative to the nature of the questions, and the problems felt harder than what I’d done at other big tech companies. I also think my expectations were a bit misguided—I went in assuming the difficulty would align with what I’d seen before, and it didn’t.

I didn’t get an offer. The biggest takeaway for me was how much the timing pressure and my own assumptions affected how the assessment felt while I was doing it.
