San Francisco, CAPosted Aug 2024 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My assessment was three-part: SQL and Pandas coding plus a statistics section.

I spent a lot of time on the coding problems, and because of that I ended up running out of time before I could fully complete everything.

The tasks felt fair, but the timing pressure on the spot work was real. It wasn’t that the questions were wildly unfair—it was that doing them live required a lot more speed and practice than I had expected.

I didn’t receive an offer, and walking away I felt the main issue wasn’t understanding; it was how quickly I needed to translate that understanding into completed answers.
