Ping Identity Software Engineer interview experience

No offer

Negative

United StatesPosted Dec 2020 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I experienced a messy, junior-question-heavy loop for the Software Engineer process that left me doubting the decision-making.

Phone screen — The process began with a phone screen.
Lengthy technical screen — I then completed a longer technical screen.
Team panel interviews — Multiple panel interviews followed with people described as junior and senior, but the questions felt very textbook.
Rejection — I ultimately received a rejection letter, and the overall rushed/disconnected experience made it hard for me to believe they formed an informed view. Outcome: No offer, and my takeaway was that the team’s inexperience and canned questions hurt the quality of the evaluation.
