I had an interview path that started with a recruiter call arranged through a consultancy.

They scheduled an online coding assessment, then set up a one-hour interview at their office location. When I arrived, the interviewer wasn’t available, so the session switched to a virtual interview from their office—still the same scheduled interview.

The technical discussion itself went for about 1 hour 45 minutes, and I felt I answered everything they asked. The interviewer seemed happy with my responses, so I expected it to go better than it did. Even so, I was rejected afterward without any explanation, and that uncertainty was the part that stuck with me.
