The interview process started with a recruiter call, and then I moved into a first coding round with two questions—one array-related and the second focused on tree concepts.

After that, I went into a systems design round.

In the systems design round, I worked with a senior engineer and the focus was on HLD, which made the discussion less about implementation details and more about how to structure components and decisions at a high level. After that, there was a hiring manager round that could include system design as well.

Even though the process had a clear flow from coding to design to management, the role didn’t end in an offer for me. Still, the sequence felt logical and aligned with what a backend/systems-oriented assessment would look like.
