After I reached out through a recruiter connection, I was told I’d receive a link to a Karat interview round in about a week.

I waited for it, but the link never arrived. I followed up by mailing the recruiter multiple times, but I never got a response or any communication about scheduling.

Because the interview never actually started, there wasn’t a chance to experience the technical format or difficulty described in a typical Karat screen. That uncertainty became the whole experience.

I didn’t end up getting an offer, and my reflection was that the lack of basic follow-through turned what should have been an interview process into dead time.
