My interview was just a one-on-one meeting with the department head, and it felt very straightforward.

We discussed my previous work, and then we talked about what role I would play in the team.

There wasn’t much complexity to the format—no long sequence, no panel. It was essentially a conversation to understand my background and how I fit into the position.

I ended up with an offer, and honestly the simplicity of the interview was the surprising part. It didn’t feel like I was jumping through hoops; it felt more like a direct discussion about the match between my experience and what they needed.
