The process stretched across a lot of stages—at least seven—and it felt deliberately circuitous.

I didn’t experience much that was hands-on or deeply technical in the way I expected. I spoke with the head of a dev strategy group and a VP from business development, plus several other people along the way. Each conversation gave only a small slice of the overall picture, so it didn’t feel like I was learning much from one step to the next. Even though I got time with senior folks, the overall journey didn’t convert into an offer.
