I started with a whiteboarding challenge that I completed without meeting anyone, so I worked through the prompt on my own and submitted it.

After that, I was invited to a portfolio presentation where two product designers joined.

The overall vibe in the room was awkward. The designers didn’t seem fully engaged—at moments it felt like they were more focused on other websites than on my presentation. Even though the format was typical for a UX/UI track, the demeanor made it hard to feel fully evaluated fairly in the moment.

I didn’t end up getting an offer. My lasting impression was that the process wasn’t as respectful or attentive as it could have been, which made even the presentation portion feel less meaningful.
