I did a very interview-heavy process with multiple rounds that leaned into both reasoning and economics.

The first stage was a phone call with consultants with motivational questions and basic economics questions, then I moved into a second one-on-one round that went deeper into economics and applied econometrics.

For the next step, I had another phone round where I was taken through a mini case-study format with two consultants. The focus was still on how I would think through problems, not only whether I knew theory.

Across the rounds, it felt important to understand the company and what made it distinct, and the interviewer wanted to hear about my experiences both inside and outside work.
