The process felt like it needed a serious overhaul.

My first conversation with the recruiter was monotone and didn’t really go into the job description details. The recruiter mostly asked if I had questions, and it didn’t feel like a real discussion about the role.

After that, I met with the manager who seemed distracted the entire time, and I struggled to get a sense of engagement or clarity. At first I thought some of the reviews I’d seen were exaggerated, but by the time I finished, it didn’t feel extreme at all. I didn’t receive an offer, and what stuck was the sense that the experience wasn’t taken seriously enough.
