My process moved quickly and stayed fairly straightforward.

After a recruiter-style call from HR, I had a telephone interview with my direct supervisor (the n+1) that lasted about an hour. The format felt deliberate and professional rather than like a stressful testing session.

Later, I went through a second step that involved a meeting with the project lead in person, plus an additional conversation with HR via video. What I appreciated most was the pace and clarity: it felt serious, I didn’t run into anything confusing, and the people I met were both gentle and genuinely curious about my background.
