Oracle Software Engineer interview experience

Posted Dec 2025 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My Oracle screening was tough in a very specific way.

It began with two behavioral questions, and then I moved straight into a coding challenge about finding the Kth largest element in a BST. I was able to write the code and run it using the provided boilerplate.

From there, the experience diverged in how the rest of the screening felt, but the overall structure still included a design-style task under tight timing. I ended up having to do a complete LLD for a multilevel parking system with only about twenty minutes left. When time got tight, I asked what level of completion was expected, and I was told it needed to include code.
