I had some early HR and manager conversations, and the process sounded like it would lead to a next step.

I spoke with a recruiter and then with a manager of a SE team, and we discussed the role and what the path would look like after that.

From there, it stalled. Even after being told I would move forward, I didn’t get any follow-up or scheduling information. The only part that felt respectful was that they did contact me initially and responded to the questions we covered in the calls.

Eventually, I wasn’t advanced further. What I remember most wasn’t the interview questions—it was the uncertainty created by the lack of closure after I was told there would be a next step.
