I went into the process with a clear sense of how it was supposed to work.

After the initial application review and recruiter screening, I expected a technical assessment, then more in-depth interviews that split between technical evaluation and behavioral/cultural fit.

As the stages lined up, the flow was basically: technical interviews to test problem-solving and relevant experience, behavioral questions to see how I handled challenges and teamwork, and then a final interview that felt more focused on bigger-picture contribution. They also described that an offer, if it came, would involve negotiation and then onboarding.

In my case, I didn’t receive an offer.
