This was for a new-grad SDE role, and the loop felt very engineering-scenario oriented rather than classic LeetCode.

The first stage was an HM phone screen that focused on my resume, inference-optimization deep dives, and a coding task related to FP32 to INT8 quantization with follow-ups on asymmetric quantization.

Then I had a virtual onsite with six rounds. There wasn’t standard LeetCode; it was all engineering scenarios, and some of the middle rounds were described as being hidden behind a points wall. I ended up rejected.

What stuck with me was how tightly the process focused on applied engineering scenarios, even though I expected more conventional coding screens.
