For a software developer role at Nvidia, I was pulled into an interview that focused on algorithm-style questions, system design, and GPU parallelism.

The emphasis came through strongly around C++, multithreading, and debugging, and it felt like they were testing whether I could reason about performance and concurrency rather than just write code that runs.

They also seemed to probe culture fit and an innovation mindset, along with whether I could speak to scalability. Difficulty landed in the difficult range, and the overall tone was intense.

I didn’t get the offer. Still, I remember leaving with the sense that the bar was real and specific to the kind of engineering Nvidia does, especially around parallelism and practical debugging
