I applied and then received an email asking me to complete a take-home assessment.

I was given up to one week to finish it, and the assignment was expected to take around three hours.

The take-home itself included two coding questions plus an open-ended prompt. It felt like the kind of exercise that tests not only correctness, but also how I structure my thinking when there’s time to work through tradeoffs.

I didn’t end up moving forward. Honestly, the assessment format was demanding in a different way than live interviews, and the open-ended portion left me with a lot to think through, so I felt drained by the time I finished it.
