Nutanix Software Engineer interview experience

It went extremely well—so well that the interviewer seemed genuinely happy and said they’d check with the hiring manager to schedule the next step.

But then the timeline turned frustrating. I waited about three days to hear back, and when I finally got an update, it was basically a rejection—they’d moved forward with other candidates. It didn’t feel like my effort mattered, even though the conversation had gone smoothly.

The interview itself felt like it could have led to progress, but the delayed response followed by the decision made the process feel random at the end.
