I applied online and later a technical recruiter reached out for a brief phone call.

The recruiter was friendly and talked through the company, what the internship work looked like, and asked some basics about my background and experience.

The conversation felt comfortable, but I ended up deciding not to continue with the interview process. Since I didn’t make it past that recruiter step, I didn’t go through the technical rounds.

In the end, I didn’t get an offer, and my reflection was simply that even a smooth first call doesn’t always line up with what I was looking for.
