Newgen Software Software Engineer interview experience

The overall vibe was positive, and the questions felt targeted rather than random.

In the technical rounds, I remember them asking about topics like joins and procedures/packages—more database and SQL-adjacent content than generic coding alone. The third round leaned managerial and scenario-based, where they wanted to hear how I’d approach problems in a more real-world setting and how I’d discuss my past work. After that, HR concluded things. I left feeling like the questions were on point, and even though it was thorough, it didn’t feel chaotic.
