I had a relaxed, informal interview with a friendly manager.

The tone was meant to help me perform at my best, and it felt like they were genuinely trying to get the best out of me rather than stress me out.

The interview was competency-based, and it revolved around examples from my experience. I found that the overall guidance in how they framed things matched what I’d normally prepare for, and being friendly and genuine came through as part of what they valued.

I didn’t receive an offer, but I still left with a positive impression of how the conversation was handled. The mismatch wasn’t about how they treated me—it was about the final selection
