Netflix Software Engineer interview experience

The interviewer was helpful and even offered hints, which made the round feel more collaborative than adversarial.

A big expectation was that I verbalize my thought process while I worked, not just get to the answer. I used an approach aligned with the umpire method they referenced and kept the conversation flowing around why I was choosing certain steps.

I didn’t end up getting an offer. Still, the technical round itself was a solid experience—clear communication expectations and an interviewer willing to guide when I was stuck.
