Netflix Software Engineer interview experience

Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I went into the process for a Senior Software Engineer role with the usual early structure in mind, and the technical bar ended up being the decisive part.

After a tech screening round, I learned I failed to move forward.

What made it linger was how little room there was to recover once the screening didn’t go my way. I tried to interpret it as feedback on fit and performance at that specific step, even though the process itself didn’t feel like it continued long enough for me to fully round out my story. I didn’t get an offer, and I was left reflecting that early screens can effectively decide everything even when later rounds might have been more informative.
