Los Gatos, CAPosted Jul 2024 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I applied online and quickly got an email to set up a phone screen.

My resume matched the job description closely, and I didn’t have to change anything before applying. On the call, the recruiter asked about my projects and technologies and I felt like the conversation went okay technically.

Afterward, I saw a LinkedIn notification that she viewed my profile. Then I got a rejection email shortly after. The timing and the recruiter’s attitude stuck with me, and I truly believed I was discriminated against based on my race.

It was a fast, abrupt end—less a process and more a quick cutoff once the call was done.
