NetApp Software Engineer interview experience

Posted Mar 2024 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for a cloud replication team role with roughly a couple of years of experience in mind, and the process was pretty direct.

It took four interviews in total—three technical rounds and one manager round—with each one lasting about 45 minutes. The technical rounds were basically straight LeetCode-style coding, and there wasn’t any system design component.

The flow felt like: three technical sessions first, then it moved to the manager in a US-format call. It ended up being more coding-focused than broad architecture-focused, and that mismatch in what was (and wasn’t) tested stuck with me.
