NetApp Software Engineer interview experience

Got offer

Positive

IndiaPosted Mar 2020 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

NetApp came to my college for campus hiring, and the process started with a pre-placement presentation.

That same evening I took an online HackerRank test, and the questions were tied to basic concepts of OS and architecture, plus code snippet output.

It was a pretty concentrated experience—one event to set context and then a single technical assessment right after. I left feeling like the evaluation was aimed at core fundamentals rather than obscure topics, and I had a good sense of what they were measuring. Even though I got an offer from that track, the overall vibe was that they were looking for correctness on fundamentals quickly.
