NetApp Software Engineer interview experience

It was mostly behavioral questions and discussion of my previous coop experience—what I’d worked on and how I handled different situations.

Near the end, they added a single coding question, which was a quick shift from the behavioral focus. That last coding piece was the only part that felt like it was directly measuring technical depth, while the earlier conversation stayed centered on my background.

I didn’t get an offer. Even though it was brief and the questions were manageable, I left feeling like the process was more about alignment and fit than a deep assessment of coding ability.
