I went through a multi-round sequence that stayed anchored in practical engineering fundamentals and kept escalating in abstraction.

I started with early stages that tested core concepts and then moved into deeper, face-to-face technical questioning. Over the course of the interviews, I was asked to explain classic Java topics like overriding and overloading, and I had to compare collection and string behavior—ArrayList vs LinkedList, Vector vs ArrayList, and String vs StringBuilder.

The technical portion then pulled in Spring/Hibernate and general platform knowledge. I had to write or describe configuration concepts for Hibernate and talk through dependency injection in Spring, including how it can be configured in XML.
