My journey began with an introduction from the hiring manager, and it included a short presentation on their side.

From there I moved into a panel interview with three senior scientists. The format felt like separate threads running in parallel: coding, biology knowledge, and machine learning questions.

The coding part was something like a LeetCode-style problem and was relatively straightforward for me. Biology was more challenging—described as medium—and the machine learning questions were mostly theoretical and landed in the medium-to-hard range. Even though the structure was compact, it was clear they were testing across different technical dimensions, not just one.

I ended up not getting an offer.
