I applied online and about two weeks later I got a call to schedule an interview with a manager.

The manager did a phone interview, but the discussion immediately hit a roadblock: they couldn’t find the networking experience they were expecting from what was on my resume.

It felt less like we were debating my answers and more like they were checking for a specific keyword-level match to the role. Once it became clear that the resume didn’t reflect what they wanted, the process stopped.

Overall it was a quick, relatively easy experience on my side, but the outcome was negative because the match on the networking part never landed.
