HR contacted me to say the hiring manager had requested an interview, and I scheduled it directly with that manager.

The interview with the hiring manager lasted about an hour.

Not long after, HR called again—just a little more than a week later—to say the hiring manager wanted to offer me the job. The timeline felt clean and fairly fast, and the communication was clear enough that I didn’t feel lost in limbo. When the offer came through, it felt like everything had aligned quickly, and I was relieved the process didn’t drag on.
