NASA Software Engineer interview experience

Got offer

United StatesPosted Jun 2014 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My entry into the process started with a lot of application materials—letters of recommendation, transcripts, and several essays and short-answer questions.

After submitting all of that, I was selected for a phone interview.

The call itself lasted about thirty minutes and was surprisingly casual. It felt more like a conversation than a rigid question-and-answer session, and the impression I got was that they already knew my technical background from my resume. The conversation was mostly about how well I’d work with others.

I left the call feeling like the tone mattered as much as the credentials, and ultimately I did receive an offer.
