Morgan Stanley Software Engineer interview experience

Montreal, QCPosted Jul 2026 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My first in-person interview was tough mainly because it was my first time going through the format, not because the material felt impossible.

I did enjoy learning more about the team and the company, and I appreciated the effort the interviewers put into the conversation.

Still, the structure was a lot: it ran for four hours. By the end, I could tell both the interviewers and the team were getting tired, and that weariness seemed to make the overall experience feel heavier than it otherwise might have.

I didn’t end up getting an offer. I came away feeling grateful for the chance to learn more, but also a bit drained by the length of the day.
