This interview was heavily about problem solving and it came across as genuinely challenging.

Most of the conversation centered on cloud architecture and finding cost-effective solutions.

They also gave me a case study that I had to solve and then present with the team. I had to put together an architecture diagram as part of the exercise, which made it feel more like an applied design task than a discussion-only interview.

I wasn’t offered the role. What stood out to me was how specific and intense the architecture and cost optimization angle was, and how much they pushed me to demonstrate thinking, not just talk through concepts.
