I had an experience interviewing for a NOC Engineer role, but it felt like the interviewer wasn’t prepared for the role details.

I got through the first round for that position, and then the more recent interview started with the interviewer seeming unfamiliar with the NOC Engineer responsibilities.

The questions ended up being limited and leaned toward AWS basics, while areas like alerting, incident management, troubleshooting, monitoring, and infrastructure operations weren’t really covered. I shared this concern because it affected the relevance of the discussion. The mismatch made me wish the interviewer had clearer alignment with the job expectations.
