I went through a three-round technical process that started with deep dives into Java and the Spring ecosystem—Spring, Spring Boot, and microservices all came up.

That first technical round cleared me into a manager-focused discussion about managerial and technical management skills.

The third stage was the one that really stood out. It felt unplanned and oddly adversarial in tone: the interviewer framed it around testing whether there was something to exclude me for, essentially trying to find a reason not to select me. I remember hearing that I’d have to wait roughly 20 days for feedback, and that the feedback would be negative if I didn’t pass.

That structure made the outcome feel predetermined from the start, and I ended up not getting an offer.
