Microsoft Software Engineer interview experience

Copenhagen, Capital RegionPosted Feb 2026 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I went through the full Microsoft flow for a new-grad software engineer role.

It started with an online technical assessment with two LeetCode-style questions, and then I moved into three separate online interviews with engineers from the team.

Those three interviews had a mix of topics: technical problem-solving, behavioral questions, and system design. Overall it felt genuinely hard and more comprehensive than just coding, and the variety of question types made it a tiring day because I couldn’t rely on one “lane” the whole time. I didn’t receive an offer, but the structure felt clear and intentionally designed to cover different skills.
