Richmond, CAPosted Feb 2026 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My path in Microsoft felt thorough and pretty time-intensive.

After applying, I went through an exam first. Once I passed it, I scheduled a long HR call that ended up being a comprehensive 3-hour interview.

During that stage, if I made it through the initial exam, I faced two medium-level LeetCode problems inside the interview itself, which was described as extremely difficult. Even though the overall process felt excellent and organized, the coding depth stood out as the hardest part. I didn’t receive an offer, but it didn’t feel careless—it felt like they were truly testing capability end to end.
