Microsoft Software Engineer interview experience

The interviewer anchored the discussion in my CV first, then moved into one coding question.

The whole thing didn’t feel heavy or overwhelming—it even clocked at under 45 minutes—and the tone was chill. The coding portion felt approachable compared with what I’d heard elsewhere, and the overall message I took from it was that this stage was more about clarity and fundamentals than stress-testing.

I left feeling like it went smoothly, and I was hopeful. I did get a positive direction out of that round, but I ultimately don’t have confirmation that it converted into an offer.
