Microsoft Software Engineer interview experience

After that, I went through a DSA-focused virtual interview where I was asked two medium-level problem-solving questions. The next step was system design, which shifted the pressure from coding accuracy to how I’d structure tradeoffs and components.

The timeline felt fairly practical: I didn’t get strung out for months, but the rounds still stacked up. When I eventually reached the later stages, I noticed the style changed—coding was still present, but one round leaned more behavioral while still including some coding challenges.

I ended up with an offer, and the whole loop felt pretty
