My Microsoft software developer interview ended up being one of those loops that felt genuinely engaging rather than purely stressful.

I went in expecting heavy technical evaluation, and instead the experience combined technical problem-solving with questions about software development principles.

The interviewers were professional and supportive, and that tone mattered because it made it easier to communicate my thinking clearly. I tried to show both technical knowledge and how I handled the conversation, not just the coding portion. Even though I didn’t end up with an offer, I left feeling like it had been a valuable experience rather than a frustrating process.
