I went through the Microsoft hiring loop for a Vancouver team on a Microsoft 365 track, and it moved fast with rounds scheduled back-to-back.

The interviewers were all very friendly, which made the experience feel less stressful than I expected.

After three rounds close together, there was an additional round about a week later. Even after that, I ended up on a waitlist rather than getting a clear go-ahead.

What stayed with me was how approachable the people were, but how the process still hinged on internal decision-making after the interviews ended.
