Microsoft Software Engineer interview experience

First came an online assessment with two LeetCode-style problems, medium difficulty, centered on graphs and dynamic programming. After that, I went into a system design interview where the task was to design a rate limiter at scale.

Then I finished with a behavioral round built around standard competency questions. What stood out was that between rounds I received clear feedback, and the interviewers stayed professional throughout. The overall difficulty landed in the difficult range, and even though I respected the structure and the clarity, I didn’t end up with an offer.
